All dance students need to have their proper shoes. Ballet shoes need to be leather (not fabric). Jazz dancers need to have jazz shoes. Please start checking to see if students need a bigger size. It is very important for them to wear tights or socks with their shoes. When feet are sweaty, it is very hard for them to get their shoes on. With recital drawing near, unless the teacher requests it, there will be no more make up classes. Each class is working on a different routine and it may confuse them to come into another class. |

It's time to order Recital T-shirts. The t-shirt design is posted on the bulletin board in the lobby and the shirts will be sapphire with white writing. The t-shirts work really good to wear over their costumes/leotard as they go to the programs. The cost of the shirts is $10.00. There will be only one order taken for the shirts and the deadline is April 20th. |

I am going to explain one thing that is coming up in May. It is a performance fee for students. Our studio does a fee instead of selling tickets and limiting how many people you can invite to the gym meet or recital. The fee helps cover the cost to rent two facilities and covers some of the cost to put the events together. The fee is $20.00 per family. If you have two children taking with us it or have children that take dance and gym is only $20.00. This will need to be paid before May 15th. Also keep in mind that if someone can't come Saturday afternoon to the recital, encourage them to come Friday night. |

The Gym Meet will be Thursday, May 28th at 7:00 PM at the Byron Middle School Gym. Girl gym students will need to wear there class leotard and a pair of black shorts (cotton or soccer type). Boy gym students will need to order a recital t-shirt (which will be black with date of program) and wear black shorts (cotton or soccer type). They will not need anything on feet. The Dance programs are held in 1st Show - Dress Rehearsal starts at 6:00 PM - Recital starts at 1:00 PM 2nd Show - Dress Rehearsal starts at 8:00 PM - Recital starts at 3:15 PM |

As the recital draws near, I always find myself needing extra help backstage. It would not be possible to have a show if it were not for the backstage helpers. This year I am asking if anyone would like to help, there will be a sign up sheet on the bulletin board. Since the show is split, I am not asking you to help with your child's show, but with the other. I want you to see your child on stage. This will be for Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. This will mean that you would come early or later depending on which show your child is in. This would be greatly appreciated. |
